Julia Lasky

Mission Specialist

Julia Lasky is a fifth grade student at Columbus Magnet School in Norwalk Connecticut where she participates in Academically Talented, Artistically Talented, and is a first grade safety in Mrs. Chironna’s class.

Julia was born in Greenwich, Connecticut in February 2006. She has an older sister named Rachel, who is 13 years old. Rachel is an alumni of Columbus Magnet School and Young Astronauts.

Julia wants to be the mission specialist because she thinks that it would be exciting to go to space to do science experiments and an EVA on the moon. Another reason Julia would like to be the mission specialist is she could get rid of her claustrophobic fear.

Julia’s hero is Julia’s sister Rachel, because Julia wants to be like and loves her.

Julia’s is having an amazing time in Mrs. Katy’s 5th grade class this year. Her favorite subjects are Science and Math.

Outside school, Julia participates in Crystal Theatre where she has been in numerous performances, swimming, and art classes. In her spare time, she enjoys making slime, playing with littleBits, conducting science experiments, all things Mermaid or Chewbacca, and playing with her puppy Wyndham.

Julia also loves her summer camp, Camp Jewell in upstate Connecticut where her three favorite activities are high ropes, swimming and horseback riding.

When she is an adult, Julia would either like to be an actress or a scientist. Julia loves Star Wars and is looking forward to this year’s Young Astronauts mission.
